Boosting the Edge Browser
Since the launch of the Edge browser on 10/7/2015 until now, Microsoft has relentlessly tried to persuade users to use the browser. The company has used various controversial methods that have sparked much debate.
One approach involves intensifying Microsoft Edge web browser ads as pop-up windows displayed on Windows 10 computers when users install or launch Google Chrome. The content in these pop-up windows mainly talks about the Edge browser to persuade users to switch. However, contrary to expectations, the software giant faced severe criticism from users.
Currently, Google Chrome maintains its position as the number 1 browser for computers with a 60% market share, while the new Edge browser holds only 5%. It's challenging for Microsoft to alter this ratio quickly due to the significant difference. Firefox is also seen making positive changes to compete with Chrome, demonstrated clearly with the release of FireFox Quantum.
On the other hand, the Microsoft Edge browser is undergoing improvements and additions to a range of new features in the latest Windows 10 releases. Many promising enhancements are expected to be added to the browser this spring when Microsoft releases the Redstone 4 update into production.
On the Android operating system, Microsoft has introduced a new enhancement for its offspring, OneNote. In the OneNote update for Android, Microsoft has also integrated the Office Lens document scanning feature into its app to provide the best experience for users.
