Activate Two-Factor Authentication for Gmail
Step 1: Sign in to your Gmail account, go to your profile picture, then click Manage your account.
Step 2: In the new interface, click on Sign-in & security to set up security for your account.
In the section How would you like to receive the code? you have 2 options to receive the verification code when accessing your Gmail account in the future:

- Phone call: Receive the code via Google's automated hotline
Choose one of the two options above depending on your preference. Then click Next to proceed to the next step of setting up Gmail 2-step security.
Step 7: Confirm whether your current computer is trusted or not in the next interface.
In the section Verify if your phone number is active , immediately the service will send a series of numbers to the phone number you provided in the previous step, use this series of numbers to fill in the Enter code field and verify the phone number.
Finally, press Next
Step 8: Press Enable to complete the 2-layer protection activation process for Gmail
Tip: However, if you lose your phone or your phone cannot receive the code message from Google due to low battery, damage, etc., Google also provides backup codes. These 10 backup codes will replace the verification step 2 (use 1 of these 10 codes randomly). Select Show backup codes to view these codes.
In the Print backup verification codes window, your 10 backup codes will be displayed, please save them for convenience when needed
