Guidance on Editing Host File for Facebook Access in 2014
Step 1: Locate the hosts file at this path - C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Step 2: Duplicate this hosts file onto the Desktop or any location you prefer. Then, add the following content to the hosts file.

Step 3: Verification
- Open the cmd dialog by navigating to start/ and typing 'cmd' in the Search programs and file section. Select cmd.exe from the search results.
- Enter the command 'ping facebook.com' in the cmd dialog. If the IP address in the cmd dialog matches the IP you've modified in the host file, you're good to go.
Now you can freely access Facebook without worrying about any restrictions.
