Strategies for speeding up computer boot times by adjusting BIOS settings
Option 1: BIOS Refresh
This option should only be applied to computers manufactured and assembled synchronously such as Dell, HP, or IBM... because only genuine computers provide complete information about their products and have been successfully tested. Upgrading BIOS on other computers is very difficult. You can visit the websites of the manufacturers to learn and proceed with BIOS update and upgrade according to their instructions.
Warning: This process must be carried out carefully because if done incorrectly or updating to the wrong version, it can lead to damage to your computer.
Option 2: Resetting BIOS Parameters.
To execute this plan, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access BIOS settings.
Depending on your machine, accessing BIOS may vary. Typically, during startup, instructions to access BIOS are displayed. Common keys include Delete, F2, F10, or F12.
Step 2: If your computer lacks a floppy disk drive, disable the Legacy Diskette option to prevent the system from searching for it during boot.
Step 3: Check the boot drive settings, prioritizing the hard drive as the first boot option.
Navigate to the Boot section.
Select Hard Drive and move it to the top. Depending on your machine, use -/+ or F5/F6 keys to move this option up. (See image below)
Step 4: Exit and save the above settings.
Select F10 or similar to Save and Exit. Then restart your computer and check if the boot time has improved.
