Enhancing Shutdown Functionality in Windows 7
Step 1: Click Start Menu --> Run --> type regedit --> OK
Step 2: The Registry Editor window will open -->HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--> SYSTEM -->CurrentControlSet --> Control
Step 3: In the right-hand window, right-click on the WaitToKillServiceTimeOut key --> Modify
The Edit String dialog will open. In the Value data section, select a lower value. The default value when Windows 7 is first used is 12000 (12 seconds), but you can choose any lower value.
Click OK to save the value
: Restart your computer.
