In the past, when a Facebook user passed away, the platform used to determine and carry out the 'Freeze' of that account. This means the account still existed and had not been confirmed for any changes.

Now, Facebook enables users to designate one of their loved ones to 'inherit' their account in case of their unfortunate passing. The chosen heir will have full control and use the account as a commemorative activity for the unfortunate individual.
Upon selecting an heir, the user will establish an inheritance contact. The designated heir can modify the user's profile, accept friend requests, and will receive notifications on the user's timeline after being informed of the user's demise.
The designated heir will have limited posting capabilities compared to their personal Facebook account and won't be able to view the content of messages on the inherited account.
However, this feature is currently only applicable in the U.S., and we hope it will soon expand and be implemented globally.
Recently, former U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled a new social media platform named Truth Social, poised to challenge Facebook and Twitter. Join and create a Truth Social account to effectively engage with this new social network.
