The summer breeze is in the air here at PUBG, and PUBG developers have brought that spirit into Season 8 with the revamped Sanhok jungle map. Sanhok made its debut in 2018, and with this major overhaul, the island will undergo significant changes with many brand-new features for you to experience with the 8.1 update. Along with a graphics remaster and game optimization, issues regarding gameplay balance and key locations have been addressed.

Step into the arena of survival in PUBG Season 8 with the all-new Sanhok map
You can expect notable changes in how you play on the Sanhok map at major landmarks like Bootcamp, Quarry, Ruins, Cave, and other locations. For example, rope bridges have been added to Quarry, providing players with a means to traverse between these hills without having to detour or go around them. The Farm has been replaced by the Airfield, making it the only location on the island that can spawn a Motor Glider.
Map revamps wouldn't be truly noteworthy without adding some new features. Therefore, developers have introduced the Loot Truck. Loot Trucks will only appear on Sanhok, with 4 spawns at the start of a match at one of the many garages around the island, and up to 8 spawns per match whenever one is destroyed. They will move across the map autonomously and drop loot until destroyed. Of course, players who completely destroy a Loot Truck will be rewarded with the largest and best loot haul. The trade-off here is that the trucks can pose significant risks, and shooting and damaging them with grenades will certainly alert other players to your location.

The PUBG 8.1 update also brings a new Survivor Pass for you to experience and earn rewards throughout Season 8. You can earn nearly 100 new skins by completing missions in the Survivor Pass: Payback while exploring the revamped Sanhok island.
The Survivor Pass: Payback is available for 1,000 G-coins through the in-game store, as well as limited-time DLC packs purchasable from the Microsoft Store.
