About the Stability of the Desk Surface when Attaching and Using an Arm
I mounted a dual arm setup on the desk surface, attaching a 27' OLED monitor and a 14' MacBook Pro. Both are relatively lightweight, especially the super-light OLED monitor, which tends to vibrate easily. I also use a mechanical keyboard, so typically, my desk surface experiences more vibrations than a regular desk.The results show that when I place the desk on a wooden floor mat, whether in standing or sitting position, the desk remains stable, and there's no screen vibration while typing. Initially, there was some vibration, but after adjusting the arm's tightness at the joints, it stopped shaking.When testing on a non-rigid surface like a carpet, there might be some vibration while typing rapidly on my mechanical keyboard in the standing position, but it's fine while sitting. Standing may induce more vibration as there's more contact with the desk, whereas sitting, the chair armrest somewhat stabilizes it.As for attaching the arm, in this aspect, I rate the Epione SmartDesk Elite highly overall—it's ready for users to attach their work setups.
