After a week of hard work, the Pig Hill, situated 120 km away from Ho Chi Minh City center, right at Vung Tau's Back Beach, promises to be an intriguing choice for you.
Weekend travel to Vung Tau, ascend the hilltop, and behold the picturesque coastal scenery.
Dubbed as the 'lighthouse on land' of the city, Pig Hill's route is straightforward. Starting from Alley 222, Phan Chu Trinh, Ward 7, Vung Tau City, just drive straight for about 500 meters.
From the hilltop, marvel at the '3D painting' depicting the entire coastal city, vividly realistic yet poetic. The painting unveils an urbanized cityscape, with towering buildings neatly arranged. The mishmash of colors is captivating, leaving nothing to be desired.

In the distance, faint outlines of street vendors meandering through alleys. The bustling sound of car horns. Children chasing each other, joyously playing around the alleys on weekends...
All those echoing noises reverberate against the walls, flipping upwards, reaching the peak of Pig Hill only to hear a few faint screws. The bustling cityscape becomes tiny, carefree, and untroubled.
The painting is bisected by Thuy Van Street running through Vung Tau city. This artificial partition opens up a view of deep blue sea, with a hint of tranquil ripples of a few waves rolling on calm days.
Mother Nature is truly generous, providing humanity with a spacious canvas, allowing us to freely sketch, unburdening ourselves of life's mundane worries. Yelling loudly into the air is a fitting release after a week of work.

Formerly known for stone mining, Pig Hill is now leaving its mark on international tourists with its charming scenery, offering a beautiful panorama of Vung Tau city.
This place experiences two distinctive seasons of the Southern climate. In the rainy season, lush greenery flourishes, wildflowers along the road eagerly sprout. In the dry season, the hillside landscape becomes desolate, mysterious with a stony path.
The subtle, sweet scent of dried grass will bring about unique sensations unlike anywhere else. You'll unleash your creativity with beautiful snapshots.

On a sunny Sunday, my friend and I embarked on a quest to find our way up Pig Hill, which was 30 km away from where I live. Despite the pouring rain, we persisted in climbing to the summit. The rain pelted our faces relentlessly, yet I felt as though the struggle for survival of a foreigner's child was erased from my mind.
There were times when I loathed Vung Tau deeply because I felt so lonely here. But that Sunday marked the first time I felt embraced by the quaintness of Vung Tau. The entire city lay before my eyes. The sea greeted me with gentle waves. The scenery was adorned with a refreshing coat of rain.
I took a deep breath and let out a shout as if tearing through the curtain of rain. My friend and I reminisced about the days when we first settled in this place, sharing our ups and downs with the land and sea.
And since that day, Pig Hill has become a soothing tonic to relieve the fatigue after a week of immersing myself in work. Only there do I feel like I fully grasp the wheel of life in my hands. Vung Tau, once confined, suddenly expands before me. The hustle and bustle fade away, leaving only the gentle rustle of the wind and the soft lapping of waves against the shore.
