1. Green Bean Sticky Rice
Sticky rice is a staple in Vietnamese feasts, especially indispensable during the traditional Mid-July Festival to honor ancestors. A plate of neatly white sticky rice mixed with soft, fragrant green beans is an ideal suggestion for the feast. Ingredients: 1.5 cups of sticky rice, 0.5 cup of peeled green beans, ½ teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1/3 cup of coconut milk (optional). Method: Rinse rice and beans after soaking in warm water for 4-5 hours. Mix with salt, sugar/honey, then steam until half-cooked. Add coconut milk, continue steaming for 15 minutes. Serve in a beautifully patterned mold. Tip: Soak rice overnight for better texture.

2. Chicken Heart Vermicelli Soup
After boiling chicken, you can use the broth for sweetness and the nutritious chicken heart to cook vermicelli. This is a common dish often made by housewives during the Mid-July Festival feast. Vermicelli soup with chewy noodles, rich broth, and fragrant chicken heart will satisfy everyone. Ingredients: Chicken broth, chicken heart, vermicelli, mushrooms, dried and fresh onions, cilantro, Vietnamese coriander, salt, seasoning powder, broth cubes. Method: Soak vermicelli until soft, cut into bite-sized pieces. Soak mushrooms in hot water, clean, cut, and slice. Clean and chop the vegetables. Wash chicken hearts, cut into pieces or flower shapes, marinate with seasoning, pepper, and salt. Stir-fry in a little oil until cooked. Boil chicken broth, season to taste, add vermicelli to cook and remove. Then place the sautéed chicken hearts on top with fried onions, pour the broth over, and serve on the feast table. Tip: Do not let the vermicelli boil vigorously on the stove, it will expand and lose its flavor. After the feast, reheat the vermicelli and enjoy.
