5. Fresh Herbs, Seasonings
To reduce waste, you can freeze various types of fresh herbs and seasonings. When you want to use them, thaw them and let the excess water drain. The herbs and seasonings will still retain their vibrant color, just like when you use them fresh.
6. Ginger
Although you can store ginger in the refrigerator (in the vegetable drawer), it can become dry or moldy if left for too long. Therefore, a more effective method is to clean, dry, cut the ginger into thumb-sized pieces, and place them in a resealable freezer bag. This method helps keep the ginger fresh for longer.

7. Avocado
Avocados are highly perishable, so storing them can be tricky. Chef Olivia Roszkowski, from the US, recommends a method for freezing avocados: Peel and pit ripe avocados, then place the pieces on a paper-lined tray and put them in the freezer compartment. Once the avocados are frozen, transfer them to a bag or a freezer-safe container for storage.
