You may already know, Bermuda is a relatively small map in Free Fire and it's quite popular in the game. Recently, the official Free Fire Facebook page shared a post revealing some secret profiles labeled as Secret Plan.
In the post, you can see 6 profiles named New York, Factory, Peak Tokyo, Plan Bermuda, and 25.0. Each profile carries a hidden message. Garena has named the plan to add 2 new locations to the Bermuda map as Plan Bermuda.
While Factory and Peak are already present on this map, Tokyo and New York are the 2 new locations. We're all familiar with these names in real life, but how are they linked to Free Fire? Let's skip that, all we need to know is that developers will be adding 2 new locations based on the cities of New York and Tokyo in the Free Fire OB23 update. Meanwhile, the profile named 25.0 signifies the appearance date of these 2 locations for the game. As mentioned earlier, the OB23 Free Fire update is set to release on July 25, 2020.

I. 2 New Locations on the Bermuda Map in the Free Fire OB23 Update
1. Tokyo
Do you think developers will add the entire city of Tokyo to the game? That's unlikely. Developers will only add a famous area of this city. If you've played the Fatal Blade mode in Free Fire, you might remember the temples (located in Tokyo). Players hope that a similar temple and house type will be added to the new location.
It's important to note that the name of the location won't be Tokyo. It's just a hint of where the new location will be designed based on. This place will be called something else. Speaking of the location of the new place on the map, some leaked information suggests it's located in the Riverside area.
2. New York
Similarly, not the entire city of New York will be brought into Free Fire for players to explore. Leaks indicate that we'll be welcoming Times Square of New York. Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center, and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan area of New York City, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue.
Free Fire has introduced this location in one of the Elite Pass trailers. Garena always drops hints about upcoming features of the game in various ways. Speaking of the location of the new place on the map, many leaked information has shown it's located in the Factory area.
II. Why is Garena making changes to the Bermuda map?
Bermuda is the most famous Free Fire map, but players only like to parachute down to a few selectively chosen places. Many places are neglected due to lack of loot and infrastructure.
But now, Free Fire has entered the realm of Esports. For a challenging competition and exciting gameplay, players need to spread out across the map to equip themselves with various weapons before engaging in battle. To balance the gameplay in tournaments, developers have taken this step.
