Apple, known for its exclusivity, usually avoids sales and discounts. However, Black Friday, the biggest shopping event of the year, is an exception. While Apple stays away, its authorized retailers seize the opportunity with unique business strategies, ensuring they don't miss out on this dark Friday.

1. Minimal Discounts on Official iPhones
iPhones tend to hold their value well and are less affected by sales throughout the year. Official Apple distributors haven't disclosed their Black Friday deals yet. However, based on past observations, consumers can expect the following discounts this Black Friday 2020:
– iPhone 12 series (including iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and Pro Max)
Due to the delayed official release of the new iPhone models in Vietnam, the iPhone 12 Series will only hit authorized stores on 27/11 - coinciding with Black Friday. Consequently, buyers will only enjoy sale programs for pre-orders. Currently, authorized distributors offer complimentary gifts worth 3 million VND or a direct discount of 2 million VND for pre-booked customers.

- The iPhone 11 series (including iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11), iPhone Xs, iPhone SE, iPhone 8 Plus, and older generations of iPhones, all officially distributed, are now discounted from 500,000 VND to 3 million VND depending on the model. It's expected that many vendors will have selective discount programs on some products during Black Friday, with discounts of up to 2 million VND.
- Genuine iPhone accessories see significant discounts, including headphones, chargers, phone cases, power banks, etc. These items always receive deep discounts during Black Friday at official Apple stores, so users with needs shouldn't overlook the upcoming Black Friday 2020.
In general, genuine iPhone products are poised to have better prices during the upcoming Black Friday, so if you're in the market, don't forget to check out official iPhone distributors like Thegioididong, FPT Shop, Viettel Store, Cellphone S... to stay updated on their promotional programs.
2. Imported iPhones (including iPhone 12, iPhone 11) see substantial discounts
While the iPhone 12 is yet to be officially distributed, imported iPhone 12 models are widely available in the market at affordable prices. Specifically, according to our survey, the prices of imported iPhone 12 variants are currently as follows:
- The price of imported 64GB iPhone 12 is approximately 22.6 million VND per unit, 128GB variant costs 23.4 million VND per unit, and 256GB variant is priced at 25.5 million VND per unit (while the official iPhone 12 price starts from 24.99 million VND)
- The price of imported 128GB iPhone 12 Pro is 30.99 million VND, 256GB variant costs 32.9 million VND, and 512GB variant is priced at 35.2 million VND (while the official iPhone 12 Pro price starts from 33.99 million VND)

Usually, official iPhone prices drop significantly before the official launch, and due to the coinciding release date of the official iPhone in Vietnam with Black Friday 2020, the prices of imported iPhones might drop by a few million VND by that date. Additionally, during Black Friday, imported iPhones usually receive discounts of a few million VND, allowing consumers to purchase them at incredibly low prices.
Alongside the iPhone 12, imported versions of iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11, iPhone Xs, and previous generations of iPhones will also see substantial discounts on Black Friday.
However, purchasing imported iPhones carries significant risks due to the lack of official distribution, and therefore, we do not recommend consumers opt for this type of product.
Furthermore, this year, according to Government Decree 98, which regulates penalties for administrative violations in commercial activities, production, trading of counterfeit goods, prohibited goods, and protection of consumer rights, selling imported iPhones in Vietnam is considered trading in smuggled goods, violators may face heavy fines of up to 200 million VND. Consequently, buyers of imported iPhones may not receive any warranty or after-sales support, and if their device malfunctions, they may end up losing a considerable amount of money.
Black Friday 2020 falls on November 27, 2020, and is expected to feature a series of promotional campaigns from leading brands. It's also the final sales boost of the year in many Western countries. In Vietnam, in recent years, Black Friday has always been a day when retailers launch numerous promotions, offering the deepest discounts ever seen.
