The most significant changes in Google Chrome 30 include support for image search on the current webpage and gesture support on Android devices' screens.
In the Windows interface, the most prominent new feature allows users to easily search for an image on the webpage they are currently accessing. In previous versions, users often had to use a separate tab dedicated to images on Google. In this version, the feature that connects to Google's image repository is integrated, allowing users to quickly view images on the document. Simply right-click on the image and select the “Search this image on Google” function, and you can find related images without having to spend time opening additional tabs.
On the image tab, all search results will be displayed along with relevant information about the image, including suggested search keywords and a list of similar websites containing the searched image.
Google Chrome 30 also brings significant performance improvements, making the browser start faster even when opening multiple tabs simultaneously. Webpage content is processed quickly, even with pages containing many images. Additionally, on Windows, this version also supports additional new programming interfaces (APIs) to help web applications run faster and more efficiently.
For the Android operating system, Google Chrome 30 also brings many upgrades. The most notable improvement is support for finger gesture recognition on Android device screens, allowing users to switch between open tabs by swiping their fingers in different directions.
Chrome 30 has also addressed and patched 50 security vulnerabilities identified earlier, including 10 classified as high-risk.
