1) File Sharing
Office 2016 focuses on improving file sharing capabilities. Users can now easily share documents via OneDrive, email, messaging, etc. on Office 2016
To share files on Word, Excel, Power Point, click on the Share icon at the top right corner of the screen. Here, select Save to Cloud.
Alternatively, you can also share via email or text message in your contacts. Enter the recipient's name in Invite people, and the message below.
2) Real-time Interaction
If shared via OneDrive, you can open the document for direct editing with Office 2016 or Office Online. If the document is shared, you'll receive a notification to agree to sync the document or not.
3) Enhanced Intelligent Searching
One of the new features users need to experience after installing Office 2016 is Smart Lookup. This feature allows users to search for data on the Internet. To use it, highlight the text, then right-click and select Smart Lookup.
4) Tell Me
Tell Me is a feature that gathers suggestions for features or settings commonly used by users. It helps you save more time when getting acquainted with the tool.
5) Adding Data from the Web to Excel
Previously, users had to spend a lot of time copying and pasting into Excel. Not to mention, if the computer had low configuration, pasting data often caused stuttering or lagging. In Office 2016, Microsoft has added the feature of adding data from the web to Excel, making it easier for users to manipulate data.
To add data from the web to Excel, switch to the Data tab, then select New Query > From other Source > From Web.
6) Attaching OneDrive Files to Outlook 2016
Similar to Google Drive and Gmail, Microsoft also integrates file attachments from OneDrive into Outlook 2016.
To do this, in Outlook 2016, click on the Attach File button, then select the file you want to attach from OneDrive.
