News about Japan and South Korea considering reopening tourism for Vietnamese travelers is causing a stir on social media. Has teamKlook been longing for the land of cherry blossoms and ginseng country?
The COVID-19 crisis has halted all travel plans for teamKlook. Not only shopping centers, theme parks, dining, and entertainment activities have temporarily closed, but also international air transport (especially international flights) has been frozen for several months. In Vietnam, the situation seems more optimistic thanks to countless proactive and positive efforts to control the pandemic. However, dreams of traveling to a foreign country still seem vague.

Good news at the beginning of May 31, 2020 for travel enthusiasts! The reputable magazine Bloomberg reported that Japan will allow tourists from Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand to enter soon, according to a government official.
This is a positive sign in the diplomatic relations between the two countries. At the same time, it is a well-deserved 'reward' for Vietnam after effective 'living with the pandemic' days, continuously highly evaluated by international media.
According to Bloomberg, the announcement of easing entry restrictions for Vietnamese tourists will take effect from the beginning of summer. When traveling to Japan, you will need a certificate confirming negative with the COVID-19 virus (prepared in Vietnam) and will be tested again.

Also on May 31, 2020, a series of South Korean airlines officially announced the resumption of international flights, including to Vietnam. Specifically, Asiana Airlines will reopen 27 out of 73 international routes, expected to increase to 110 flights per week (previously 53 flights). For flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the airline will increase to 3 and 7 flights per week respectively.
