During the recent Ubisoft Forward showcase, Far Cry 6 was officially announced with a brand-new trailer. Prepare to be amazed as Giancarlo Esposito takes on the role of the latest villain, President Antón Castillo.
This time, the story takes players to the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, where they assume the role of local guerrilla fighter Dani Rojas, who can be either male or female depending on player choice. Unlike the previous two games, Far Cry 6's main character will be voiced and appear in cutscenes instead of being a first-person experience.
In addition to the usual open landscapes found in Far Cry games, Ubisoft has introduced the series' first urban setting in Far Cry 6, allowing players to explore the sprawling city of Esperanza. Players can recruit allies, both human and animal, around the island to aid in the fight against Castillo's regime, including the adorable dog Chorizo.
Pre-order the game and receive the Libertad Pack, featuring a special outfit for Chorizo, as well as a unique weapon called Discos Locos.
Far Cry 6 will be available on PC, Uplay+, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on February 18, 2021. Additionally, those who purchase the game on current-gen consoles will receive a free upgrade to the next-gen version. Make sure to download the appropriate versions to play during this time!
