Similar to its implementation on PC, this isn't a separate game mode, meaning you'll be able to play Minecraft in its entirety, 'just like 100% of the Minecraft game you've been playing daily, weekly, monthly, yearly... on PlayStation 4. Nothing gets erased. 100% pure and entirely genuine'.
Players will be able to use their DualShock 4 controllers to 'move around and perform all crafting, combat, or resource-gathering actions'. Alongside settings to fine-tune the VR experience, Living Room and Immersive modes will also be available here. The Immersive mode alters the player's perspective to first-person view, while Living Room transports them into a digitally rendered room, where the game is presented on a screen in front of them, a mode more suitable for those susceptible to motion sickness.
The official release date of the Minecraft PSVR update is unclear, but it's scheduled to launch this month. Meanwhile, the Minecraft Live event is set to commence next month as an online event, providing fans with a glimpse of upcoming updates, mobs, and various other content heading to the game owned by Microsoft.
