Introduced at last year's Ignite conference, Microsoft presented the Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) service, allowing users to run Windows 7 and Windows 10, as well as Office applications on the cloud service.
Great news today as Scott Manchester, Head of Microsoft's Remote Desktop Services development team, announces that the service is now complete and will be deployed to users soon.
Unlocking Windows Virtual Desktop Requires Azure Registration
Although Manchester didn't disclose the specific release date (ETA), ZDNet reports that the service is likely to be launched to users in September, precisely one year after Microsoft first introduced Windows Virtual Desktop.
According to Microsoft, WVD is the sole solution for organizations and businesses wanting to continue using Windows 7 before the official platform is phased out in January next year. The company will continue to provide free security updates for Windows 7 devices running on WVD until January 2023. To use Windows Virtual Desktop, users will need to register with Azure.
Another noteworthy update about the social network Instagram reveals that after a separate testing period through Spark AR, Instagram allows users to create their own filters on the photo-sharing platform. For detailed information, readers can check out the details at https://9mobi.vn
