Exciting night market to open in Huế's historic center from January 1st, 2022
According to the plan, 'Hoàng Thành Night Market' – Huế will officially commence operations from January 1st, 2022. This is a new and appealing tourist attraction, rich in Huế's cultural heritage. The project will recreate the atmosphere of ancient Huế for visitors to enjoy various performances, experience traditional games, explore traditional crafts, and indulge in Huế cuisine... This pedestrian street will be a unique and attractive highlight in Huế's nocturnal tourism landscape.
Huế is organizing a pedestrian night market area from Thể Nhơn Gate to 23/8 Street and along Lê Huân Street from Nam Thắng Fortress to Yết Kiêu Street. Initially, there will be 28 stalls displaying traditional Huế handicraft products such as lanterns, weaving, Thanh Tiên paper flowers, bamboo weaving, lotus products, Sình village paintings, bamboo paper, and Huế cuisine...
In addition to the service area, there are also 4 spaces for cultural activities and experiences managed by the Huế Imperial Citadel Conservation Center: organizing gate-changing ceremonies from Ngọ Môn Gate to Chương Đức Gate, Tuồng mask dances at Chương Đức Gate, Huế folk singing performances, and displaying five-panel áo dài outfits at Tây Khuyết Đài.
