On April 30th - May 1st this year, Ho Chi Minh City will host a program featuring fireworks combined with artistic light displays accompanied by music at the Thủ Thiêm Bridge area (District 2).
Exciting: Saigon's Fireworks and Artistic Light Show for April 30th Celebration
Ho Chi Minh City's Vice Chairman Trần Vĩnh Tuyến has tasked the Ho Chi Minh City Command to collaborate with the Department of Tourism to plan a detailed program for a special fireworks and artistic light show, aiming to serve the city's residents and visitors during the April 30th celebration.
As such, during the upcoming April 30th celebration, there are plans for four fireworks locations if the Department of Tourism collaborates with consulting units for rapid implementation. This could be considered the first fireworks display combined with artistic light and music at Thủ Thiêm, leveraging the backdrop of the Saigon River.

In addition, Vice Chairman Trần Vĩnh Tuyến has also approved a plan to organize festival events to attract tourists to the city, following the direction of almost having an event organized every month by the Department of Tourism, aiming for regular annual events.
First event planned is a fireworks and artistic light show on the Saigon River to celebrate April 30th. Following that will be the Southern Cuisine Festival at the end of May (May 25-28); Street Art Performances; then the Southern Fruit Festival in early June (June 1-11).
Additionally, the city is set to organize the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (September 7-9), the 2017 Fashion and Technology Festival (September 14-16), and the 2nd Dragon Lion Dance Festival at the end of the month.
November will host a series of events for waterway tourism. The International Cuisine Festival and the International Marathon competition in Ho Chi Minh City will be held in mid-December; from mid-December to early January next year will be the city's illumination festival.
