(Motherland) - The new LMHT champion is likely to be closely associated with a major event that Riot is nurturing.
In the latest update on the PBE server, the League of Legends community has unearthed some rather mysterious signs on the map. Specifically, at the Store locations of both teams, mysterious symbols in orange and gold ink have emerged. These are believed to be a teaser for the new champion named Hwei. In a previous article, this character was also depicted with similar dominant colors.

The special point here is that the community has also uncovered that Hwei will have a Winter Wonderland skin released next month. According to information disclosed by YouTuber Big Bad Bear, there will be up to 7 champions (including Hwei) in this skin group. Therefore, the likelihood is high that Hwei will be introduced in the upcoming December.

Moreover, in recent years, champions introduced in the last or first month of the year have been linked to a major event. Viego is a prime example of such a character as he played the primary antagonist role in the Sentinel of Light event. Therefore, the LMHT community predicts that Hwei's debut in December will be equally magnificent. It's highly possible that Riot will heavily invest in this year's Christmas event.

In the latest article on the 'Champion Development Roadmap', Riot Games has confirmed that Hwei is the new Mage champion of LMHT. Furthermore, Hwei is portrayed as an artist despite having a somewhat shabby appearance, yet manages to produce splendid, colorful artworks. As for skills, numerous sources have revealed that Hwei can 'paint' the landscape on the map.

If the aforementioned leaked information holds true, LMHT players are likely to learn about Hwei as soon as patch 13.24 arrives on the PBE server. It's worth noting that since Vex's release, Riot hasn't introduced a new Mage champion for over 2 years. Hopefully, Hwei will possess a truly intriguing set of skills to bring a 'breath of fresh air' to this character class.
