Initial images confirm that the eyewear with integrated speakers remains part of the Bose Frames series, boasting an IPX4 water resistance rating and a USB-C charging port. The frame design sets it apart from the Rondo and Alto models.
While FCC certification doesn't guarantee a product launch, it's uncertain if this product will indeed hit the shelves. The gap between certification and consumer availability may be considerable. Considering the recent discontinuation of the augmented reality enhancement project in June, the prospects for these speaker-equipped sunglasses remain questionable.
Nevertheless, over the past two years, Bose Frames have arguably been Bose's most innovative product line, achieving relatively successful revenue.
