File Cards provide a modernized interface offering insights into files and their sharers. Users will see contextual data about files and the individuals sharing them. Additionally, on each File Card, users can perform quick actions like sharing files or keeping them offline. This feature will be available in both the Recent and Shared tabs of the Office for Android app.
Expect File Cards to Roll Out for Office on Android This Month
Currently, File Cards only support Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files stored in personal and business OneDrive accounts. If a file is only stored locally, users won't be able to preview contextual information about it. However, Microsoft is working to extend File Cards support to locally stored Word and PDF files alongside cloud-stored ones.

However, it seems that the file card user interface is not yet available, indicating that this feature is being gradually rolled out. Microsoft states that all users will receive the File Cards UI in the coming weeks, regardless of their region.
