GAM Esports shares insights after becoming Vietnam's representative in the League of Legends category at SEA Games 31.
In the match on March 12th, during the SEA Games 31 League of Legends qualifiers finals, GAM Esports convincingly defeated Saigon Buffalo with a score of 3-1. With this victory, GAM officially became Vietnam's representative in the upcoming SEA Games 31 held in Hanoi.
We had the opportunity to conduct an interview with the GAM team to hear their emotions, thoughts on the journey, and the responsibility of representing the colors of Vietnam at SEA Games 31.
Interviewer: Hello GAM Esports team. Firstly, on behalf of the readers, we want to congratulate the entire team on securing the spot as Vietnam's representative for the upcoming SEA Games 31. Could you share your current emotions with the readers?
GAM: First of all, the entire team greets Mytour's readers. At this moment, the team feels incredibly proud to wear the national colors and represent Vietnam at SEA Games 31.

Mr. TK Nguyen - CEO of NRG Asia - GAM Esports owner: With everything that has happened in the past 2 years, NRG Asia and GAM want to bring something exciting to GAM fans, the esports community, and gamers in Vietnam in general!
These young men, from boys who loved playing games in a normal internet cafe, now represent Vietnam as members of the national team participating in SEA Games 31 - one of the most important stages of Vietnam's esports. That's truly wonderful! I have witnessed and admired GAM's extraordinary efforts. The team members have worked tirelessly over the years and earned the position to represent the nation's colors. These athletes are proof of dreamers with great aspirations and the courage to pursue their passion to turn them into reality.

Interviewer: In the recent final against Saigon Buffalo, you showed a dominant performance. However, the match extended to game 4. Was the difficulty caused by SGB and the draw in game 2 anticipated by the entire team?
GAM: SGB's performance in the first 2 games was quite good, so we faced a lot of challenges. However, this didn't cause the entire team to panic or have psychological issues during the competition.
Interviewer: Looking back at the SEA Games 31 journey, there were moments when GAM made fans doubt the competitive motivation, especially after the loss to SBTC Esports. What were your emotions and thoughts when losing to a team you had never lost to, not just once but twice (in round 2 and the tie-break)?
GAM: We have never felt inferior or had negative thoughts after losing to SBTC. The defeats against SBTC twice are valuable experiences that we need to play better in the playoffs. For us, there's never a concept of failure. Victory propels GAM forward, and defeat helps GAM learn to come back stronger.

Interviewer: Did the whole team anticipate being chosen by SE in the Semifinals? And with SE, then known as SEA Games Esports, defeating GAM twice, does the team feel any psychological pressure?
GAM: We predicted that SE would choose GAM in the semifinals because they have a good head-to-head mentality against GAM. However, the entire team is completely confident in winning against SE.
Interviewer: At this point, one goal has been achieved. However, as some information has appeared for a long time, the team that earns a spot in SEA Games 31 won't be able to participate in MSI. So, does this affect GAM's competitive motivation in VCS Spring 2022?
GAM: The goal set by the whole team before the season is to win every tournament GAM participates in, so not being able to participate in MSI does not affect GAM's competitive motivation in VCS Spring 2022. We will do our best to bring home the VCS trophy for GAM the 6th time.

Interviewer: In the case of winning VCS Spring 2022, does the team feel regretful if they have to give up the MSI spot? Moreover, according to many opinions in the VCS community, if not GAM, Vietnam will find it challenging to go far in MSI?
GAM: Representing Vietnam at SEA Games 31 is a great honor for us, so we don't feel regretful if we win VCS but can't participate in MSI.
Interviewer: According to the team, can you predict who will be capable of facing GAM in the VCS Spring 2022 finals? Is it the recent nemesis SGB or CES, or SE?
GAM: We think the opponent in the VCS Spring 2022 finals, if GAM makes it there, will be SGB.
Interviewer: Also, according to fan opinions, if GAM goes to SEA Games, it's almost certain to bring gold for Vietnam in LoL. Does this create pressure for the whole team? And in GAM's view, do opponents in SEA have the capability to compete for medals with Vietnam, especially in LoL? According to the team, which nation is the most formidable?
GAM: In sports, you can't predict anything. We still have to train diligently to show good performance at SEA Games 31. As for opponents, we think every nation is the same to us. We need to focus on playing our best to bring home the gold for the Vietnam national team.
Mr. JackieWind - GAM's Coach: SEA Games 31 is the most important tournament for us this year because we will not only participate as members of GAM but also as members of the Vietnam national team. We will try our best to achieve the gold medal goal at SEA Games 31.

Interviewer: Finally, can the GAM team send a statement to the readers expressing their determination to bring glory to the nation and pride in representing the colors of Vietnam?
GAM: At SEA Games 31, we assure everyone that we will give our best effort to bring home the gold medal for the people of Vietnam!
Thank you, GAM, for collaborating with Mytour on this interview. Congratulations once again to the whole team, and we wish GAM will fulfill the dream of winning the gold medal in LoL at SEA Games 31, bringing glory to the Vietnamese LoL community.
