Airbnb has just announced that Bran Castle will be featured on their listings for the night of 31/10. This accommodation for two brave adventurers is a medieval fortress in Transylvania, Romania, rumored to be the mysterious and terrifying castle described as the abode of vampires in the famous novel “Dracula”.

Despite author Bram Stoker only reading about the landmarks and never actually visiting the castle, his vivid descriptions through his writings undoubtedly send shivers down the readers' spines.
This Halloween, the lucky duo's overnight stay will be arranged by none other than Dacre Stoker, the renowned Irish writer's nephew himself. According to Airbnb, Dacre Stoker is a vampire expert, always staunchly supporting his uncle's novels.

Airbnb is currently running a global competition, and the winner will secure this unique overnight stay. To enter, participants must write a short piece about how they would react, what they would say when coming face to face with Dracula.
The winner will experience the sensations of the main character Jonathan Harker, being chauffeured to the castle by horse carriage, sitting down to a “bloody feast” and sleeping in Dracula's velvet-lined coffin.

The infamous count character by Stoker is based on a real historical figure, Prince Vlad Dracul of Wallachia in the 15th century, known for his bizarre lifestyle, brutally vicious personality often dispatching enemies slowly by impaling them on stakes and leaving them to bleed to death.
Last year, Airbnb also arranged for guests to spend the night in the legendary catacombs in Paris, often referred to as the “tombs of death”.

To make the guests' journey more mysterious, visitors to Dracula's castle this Halloween must adhere to some rules such as no garlic or anything garlic-scented allowed in the castle, no jewelry or silver items as well as sacred symbols, all curtains must be drawn shut, accompanied by the humorous warning “Dracula isn't one for selfies in the mirror.”
If one night in this eerie and spooky castle isn't enough, you can consider buying back this medieval architecture with this year's listed price of 57.6 million USD.
