Documents required for a Schengen visa

The process of applying for a Schengen visa will be easier if you are guided to prepare your documents carefully. Below are the necessary documents for different visa purposes:

Tourist visa

Personal documents

– Signature form;

– Valid passport + Old passport (if any);

– 2 photos 3.5cm x 4.5cm (white background, taken within 6 months);

– Valid ID card/citizen ID card certified copy;

– Permanent/temporary residence book, printed with content pages;

– Marriage/divorce certificate/cohabitation confirmation/single status/death certificate;

– Birth certificate (children traveling with parents);

– Student card/confirmation letter from the school;

– Children under 18 not traveling with parents (authorization letter certified by local authorities + passport copy or certified ID card of the authorized person).

Employment verification documents

1. Business owner

– Business registration certificate/company establishment license;

– Annual business tax report;

– Latest 3-month tax receipt;

– Confirmation of current company balance.

– Labor contract valid for at least 03 months from the end of the tour;

– Confirmation of current participation in social insurance (original) + Social insurance book (copy not more than 3 months old) (for indefinite-term contracts);

– Latest 3-month salary sheet/bilingual bank salary statement (original);

– Leave application, business trip assignment decision (original);

– Appointment decision (certified copy);

– Retirement certificate/pension/retirement decision/retirement card (certified copy).

1. For monks and nuns, a certified certificate/card of monkhood/nunhood is required (certified copy).

Financial proof documents

– Savings account balance confirmation (mandatory);

– Original bilingual bank account statements for the latest 3 months, with an asset value/ending balance of 200,000,000 VND or more per person (mandatory);

– Property ownership documents (recommended);

– Vehicle registration certificate (if any);

– House/land sale contract (if any);
