Can Gio – a name that may not ring bells and may seem bland amidst a myriad of other destinations, but in reality, it conceals countless intriguing aspects, and the Vam Sat ecological tourism area is one of them.
Embark on an exciting journey to the captivating Vam Sat ecological tourism area in Can Gio.
The Vam Sat ecological tourism area is located in Ly Nhon commune, Can Gio district, approximately more than 40km away from the center of Ho Chi Minh City. This place is considered an ideal green destination for young Saigonese to escape the sun and unwind on weekends.



Vam Sat is one of the most sustainably developed ecological tourism areas in the world in Vietnam recognized by the World Tourism Organization (WTO). The Dam Doi area boasts picturesque natural scenery. Amidst the azure river streams, you'll witness flocks of storks foraging. Venturing further in, you'll encounter bat colonies, quietly hanging amidst the tall branches.



To reach here, from Saigon, you can travel by bus or motorbike. However, buses are somewhat inconvenient as they require a bit of walking, so young travelers usually opt for motorbikes to reach the Vam Sat ecological tourism area. If traveling by motorbike, from Ben Thanh, head to Huynh Tan Phat Street, District 7, go straight to the end of the road to reach Binh Khanh ferry. After crossing the ferry, continue straight along Rung Sac Street, turn right at Ly Nhon intersection, continue along Ly Nhon Street for another 21 km until you reach the stop at the Vam Sat ecological tourism area. To explore the amusement and entertainment spots of this tourism area, you must rent a canoe.



Explore the Vam Sat ecological tourism area and discover various mangrove forests, visit the Bat Conservation Area, enjoy recreational crab fishing, conquer the 26m Tang Bong tower, trek through forest paths, visit the natural zoo, go crocodile fishing, sway on suspension bridges, explore the bird sanctuary, and indulge in a plethora of seafood delicacies.


The entrance fee to the tourist area is 35,000 VND, crocodile fishing is 35,000 VND, and visiting Dam Doi costs 40,000 VND per person. Additionally, you can purchase package tickets ranging from 350,000 to 550,000 VND per ticket depending on the number of individual or group guests. These package tickets include services such as entrance tickets, boat tickets for exploring the Can Gio mangrove wetland, boat tours to the Bat Conservation Area, recreational crab fishing, forest trekking, wild deer watching, crocodile farm tours, learning about the crocodile egg hatching process, crocodile fishing by boat, conquering the Tang Bong tower, and challenging suspension bridges.




With its cool atmosphere and proximity to Saigon, Vam Sat Ecotourism Area is the perfect destination for young people to organize picnics, have fun with friends, and ride motorbikes back in a day!
