Saigon will organize a lantern floating event on the Saigon River area near Diệu Pháp Pagoda (Ward 13, Bình Thạnh District) on August 11th.
Experience the Biggest Lantern Floating Festival in Saigon to Celebrate Vu Lan
The lantern floating program, organized by Diệu Pháp Pagoda, will take place from 7 PM to 9 PM on August 11th (equivalent to July 14th in the lunar calendar). Citizens can release lanterns within a 200m stretch of water along the temple, from the stairway leading down to both upstream and downstream of the river, with a width of 50m from the top of the concrete embankment toward the river.
To ensure safe waterway traffic, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport suggests that the management board of Diệu Pháp Pagoda contact the Waterway Management Center and related units for guidance and close coordination in implementing the program.
Time: from 7 PM to 9 PM on August 11th (equivalent to July 14th in the lunar calendar).
