The Puerto Princesa Underground River National Park was established in 1992, located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range, on the northern coast of Palawan Island. It borders St Paul Bay to the north and Babuyan River to the east, within the province of Palawan, Philippines.

The Puerto Princesa Underground River National Park covers an area of approximately 22,202 hectares, encompassing the world's most impressive cave system. It features spectacular limestone mountain landscapes, pristine natural beauty, ancient forests, and unique wildlife.

Within the heritage of the Puerto Princesa Underground River National Park, the natural landscape of limestone mountains and underground rivers is preserved in extraordinary conditions. Here, the integrity of the heritage is also reflected in the mountain-to-sea ecosystem of Asia's largest forests. The mangrove forests in the bay, along with the interconnected flora and fauna, interact with the caves and mountainous forests around.

Within this heritage area, you'll find 8 out of 13 types of natural forests present in the tropical region of Asia. These include volcanic soil forests, limestone rock forests, mountain forests, freshwater swamp forests, lowland tropical forests, riverbank forests, coastal forests, and mangrove forests, hosting over 800 plant species.

Additionally, there are 165 bird species out of a total of 252 in the Palawan moist tropical forest ecological region (one of the 5 ecological regions of the Philippines). There are 30 mammal species, 19 reptile species, with 8 being endemic, 10 amphibian species, and 9 bat species.

Visitors here will experience an incredibly enchanting space, surrounded by freshness and vibrant greenery. It's a perfect setting for enjoying special trips with family and friends.
