Tea Hill Cau Dat was originally a French tea plantation, established in 1922, covering an area of up to 230 hectares, and with an altitude of 1,650 meters above sea level. Since 1927, the French built a high-quality tea planting area and the Tra Co Tea Factory for tea production; and up to now, although the oldest in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, Tra Co Tea Factory at Cau Dat is still in operation.
Currently, Cau Dat Farm has invested in transforming this area into a famous agricultural production and tourist destination. The Tra Co Tea Factory has been converted into a museum with an artistic space full of interesting historical and cultural stories over the past 100 years.
With the fresh and dust-free natural landscape, Tea Hill Cau Dat is considered the cleanest place in Da Lat, with cool and pleasant weather all year round. Occasionally, when the weather turns cold and dry, the gentle breeze amidst the sunny sky will make you feel more relaxed.
