We arrived here during the rainy season in central Vietnam, expecting the downpour to hinder our journey. However, Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa proved to be a wonderful sanctuary amidst the rain.
Just a 10-minute drive from the old town center, the resort stretches gracefully along the coastline with secluded beaches. Daily shuttle buses are available from the old town to the resort. It's not too far for guests to walk and immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere from Hoi An center to the resort. Moreover, there are always custom-designed tours on vintage cream-colored classic cars to take guests on adventures.
We arrived at the resort amidst rain, yet the hotel staff were ready with umbrellas to welcome us. From the reception hall, we were pleasantly surprised by the deeply Eastern mysterious atmosphere, simple, airy, evoking a fresh, beautiful day, with sleek black wood furniture adorned with delicate orange accents. However, my favorite is the Japanese style with a tranquil 'Zen' garden, blending harmoniously with nature. There are also beautifully crafted tea sets in the room, and Kimono silk paintings in the bathroom.
Our bedroom space is wonderfully airy with a beautiful spacious vanity table. From inside the room, we can admire the lush green garden outside and a part of the beautiful coastline.
What could be better on rainy days than visiting Victoria's spas, with their enticing full-body massage services coupled with generous 'buy one, get one free' promotions, we comfortably chose therapeutic treatments and enjoyed moments of relaxation in the steam bath, washing away all the dust and fatigue.
Before and after these therapies, we were treated to delicious fresh fruits to rejuvenate our senses. After relaxation, I opted for the Bali style with medium pressure combined with stretching, acupressure, and massage. Meanwhile, Sam chose the Swedish style for a dreamy hour of relaxation. Additionally, there is a great fully-equipped modern gym here.
All the staff at Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa are extremely attentive, enthusiastic, friendly, well-trained, and extremely polite. Especially Anh, the receptionist who greeted us, was very sweet and attentive, even the gardeners, always greeted us with a friendly smile wherever we went.
Dining at L’Anmam restaurant is truly luxurious. My favorite part was the Lion Dance performance by young martial artists from various schools, adding an extra special touch to the meal. The whole week promised a plethora of exciting entertainment programs. I indulged in ostrich meat while Sam opted for Beefsteak with potatoes and vegetables. We couldn't resist the delicious cocktails and enjoyed the show together.
The breakfast the next morning was equally fantastic, we were served with care with traditional Vietnamese dishes such as pho, along with Western dishes like sausages, smoked meats, and pasta. Additionally, there were all kinds of delicious tropical fruits, fresh and cool. And once again, the attentive staff ensured my coffee cup was never empty.
An evening at Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa is all about luxury, sophistication, and magnificence. Truly, Vietnam is the ideal destination for couples to relax and cuddle together. Even with rainy weather, Victoria remains wonderful, and if the weather is better, it's even more ideal to explore the natural beauty of Hoi An ancient town. Indeed, this is the perfect place for you to relax and rediscover yourself.
