Explore Koh Rong Saloem
Koh Rong Samloem, also known as Sanloem and Saloem, is located 18 kilometers west of Sihanoukville and is smaller in size compared to Koh Rong Island. This is Cambodia's main beach, accessible from Thailand's Gulf by a 45-minute speedboat ride or approximately 2 hours if hitching a ride on a local fisherman's boat.

Accommodation options on the island vary, from luxurious Khmer-style villas right on the beach to numerous scattered bungalows along Saracen Bay and Mpay Bay. For travelers on a budget, the available guesthouses in Mpay Bay fishing village offer dreamy resting spots.

The peak season from October to November is the usual tourist season for Cambodia, as well as the holiday period in Europe in July and August. Therefore, those planning to visit and stay on Koh Rong Samloem during this time will need to book accommodations in advance.
Currently, there are no banks or ATMs on Koh Rong Samloem and Koh Rong. Credit/debit cards are not accepted, so travelers must be prepared with cash to pay for food, drinks, and other recreational activities.
Discover Kep
