Surprisingly, a pure and crisp air spray can is available at the duty-free counter for a hefty $65.
Experience the Essence: $65 for Bottled Air at New Zealand Airport
The Kiwiana brand is causing a stir by selling 'pure New Zealand air' to passengers at the duty-free counter in Auckland International Airport, as reported by Fox on October 9. The manufacturer ensures the air quality is harvested from New Zealand – the world's purest country.
Damian Christie, a journalist from New Zealand, captured an image of this product and shared it on Twitter with a comment: 'Surely, this must be a joke. At 98 NZD (approximately $65), it's no longer the cute gift it used to be.'

Social media users also express conflicting opinions about this product. 'Isn't this really expensive? Who gave them the license for this?' expressed Carol Green's account.
'It's truly disgraceful, the increasing number of wasteful products created for consumption and profit,' wrote one person. 'I can't believe they're charging for air... What's happening to the world?' commented another.
Some question who would spend money on this product: 'If you want to mock, laugh at those buying bottled air,' 'So, this is how the wealthy squander their money'...

Many point out that bottled air is not a novelty. 'About 30-40 years ago, we had a similar reaction to bottled water. Honestly, I still find this product laughable,' according to one comment. There are opinions predicting that clean air could be sold as widely as bottled water nowadays.
Some believe the most potential customers for bottled air are in China, especially those living in Beijing – one of the most air-polluted cities in the world.
In reality, some businesses worldwide also have clean air products exported to China. Clean air from Green and Clean Air company is sourced from famous natural spots in Australia like Gold Coast city, Bondi Beach, Blue Mountains, Tassie Valley, and Yarra... with average prices ranging from 20 USD to 30 USD per liter can, depending on the 'flavor'.
