1. Experience the LG Puricare air purifier: 360-degree design, ultra-fine dust filtration from every angle
The air quality is worsening, especially in major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, driving a surge in demand for air purifiers. LG stands out as a rare brand with a comprehensive range of air filtration products.
LG's standout air purifier is the PuriCare 360° 2-tier model with the ability to filter ultra-fine PM1.0 dust. It combines multiple 'bests' in the market: the largest dust filtration area (100 square meters), the most advanced technologies, and a unique design.

In addition to the PuriCare 360° 2-tier model (priced at 33 million VND), LG also offers the PuriCare 360° 1-tier model (priced at 25 million VND) for rooms up to 60 square meters and the compact PuriCare mini (priced at 4.5 million VND) for convenient portability.
Design and Features
LG PuriCare 360° boasts an eye-catching cylindrical shape with 2 tiers. The normal height of the machine is over 1 meter, extending to 1.3 meters when the air push mechanism is activated. It weighs 19kg. Users can purchase the brand's wheeled stand for easy movement between locations in the house.

Unique 2-tier cylindrical design, suction, and dust filtration from every direction
Each tier of LG PuriCare 360° has its own air filtration system. Users can activate both tiers simultaneously for comprehensive air filtration or only the lower air filtration tier. The lower tier pushes clean air through a separate lower air intake. Meanwhile, the upper tier pushes clean air through the upper air push mechanism. Notably, the upper air push mechanism is designed to elevate at a 55-degree angle and can swivel left-right up to 70 degrees, facilitating rapid circulation of clean air throughout the room.

Air is drawn in through the surrounding holes in the machine's body
LG PuriCare 360° draws in air to filter from every direction through concentric circular openings on the body. This '360-degree' arrangement of suction holes enables the air purifier to filter air quickly and comprehensively compared to many purifiers with air intakes only at the front or front and back.

Control panel and LED display
The control panel and LED display of LG PuriCare 360° are positioned in the upper air push section. On the LED screen, users can monitor real-time readings of PM 1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 dust levels, while the odor quality is displayed in green, yellow, orange, or red based on pollution levels.

Dust status is color-coded for visibility even from a distance
Notably, LG also integrates a strip of LED lights around the control panel. The color of this light strip changes based on air quality, with green indicating clean air and yellow, orange, and red representing different pollution levels. This way, users from any position in the room can glance at the color strip to assess the air quality.

Odor and dust sensors for automatic machine adjustment
Integrated in the upper filter unit, the machine houses PM1.0 dust and gas sensors. These sensors assess the dust and odor conditions in the room, enabling the machine to automatically adjust its operating mode accordingly.

Manual on/off control on the control panel
Users can manually choose between Auto, Low, Medium, High, and Turbo operating modes, corresponding to power levels of 18, 25, 45, and 85W. In Auto mode, the power adjusts based on air quality and odor levels, ensuring the machine operates at an appropriate power level.

The machine features a Baby mode designed for households with children
Unique to this product, LG introduces the rare BabyCare mode not found in other air purifiers. In BabyCare mode, the machine filters low-level air on the lower tier - the activity range of small children, while initiating a gentle airflow, creating an ideal environment for children.

The machine connects to the phone for remote control and dust status updates
In addition to direct control on the device's control panel, LG provides a handheld remote control. Users can also adjust, select machine functions, or monitor indoor air quality through the LG ThinQ app on their smartphones. With a few app setup steps, connecting to the machine via Wi-Fi allows users to enjoy this modern feature.
Air Filtration Efficiency and Noise Level
The PuriCare's filter system consists of a pre-filter, HEPA filter for fine dust, and an activated carbon filter to eliminate odors and harmful chemicals. The air entering PuriCare undergoes a 6-step purification process.

In the first three steps, the pre-filter and HEPA filter remove fine dust, ultra-fine dust (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10), and allergens. In the subsequent steps, the activated carbon filter eliminates toxic gases, unpleasant odors, and impurities in the air.

During our experience, we observed the PuriCare 360° efficiently filtering dust in a very short time. Specifically, in an approximately 80-square-meter room, the 2-tier PuriCare took only 30 minutes to reduce PM10 and PM2.5 dust levels from high pollution levels of 201 µg/m3 and 92 µg/m3 to a safe 17 µg/m3 and 7 µg/m3, respectively. When left overnight or running for extended periods, the machine maintains stable dust filtration efficiency.

LG PuriCare 360 utilizes an Inverter variable-speed motor for quiet operation and energy efficiency. In reality, the machine emits minimal noise, measuring 43, 44, 54, and 58 dB at Low, Medium, High, and Turbo (strong) fan speeds, respectively, at a close distance. To provide context, a whisper's noise level is around 40dB.

Additionally, the machine features a Sleep mode activated at night. In this mode, the machine dims the display lights and adjusts the fan to run at a low speed, almost silent.

The noise level measured in this mode is only 42 dB, differing by only 1-2 dB from the ambient noise level when the machine is off.
Besides the filters, PuriCare machines also include ion air purification features similar to LG's air-conditioners with air purification capabilities. The machine generates negative ions to attract airborne impurities (smoke, dust, bacteria, viruses) with a positive charge, enhancing air cleanliness.

With a maximum power of 85W, the 2-tier PuriCare also has minimal power consumption compared to other household devices. In practical testing, running the dust and odor purifier overnight for 8 hours in auto mode consumed only 0.15 kWh. This translates to a monthly consumption of 4.5 kWh if the machine is run for 8 hours daily, which is less than the daily electricity consumption of an air conditioner or a water heater.
Cleaning Guide for Filters and Sensors
After a period of use, air purifiers accumulate a significant amount of dust. This can affect their operation and reduce filtration efficiency. Therefore, regular maintenance is essential to ensure optimal performance.

In traditional air purifiers, the coarse dust filter is a detachable mesh that can be removed and rinsed with water. However, on LG PureCare air purifiers, the coarse filter is integrated into a block with the HEPA and activated carbon filters. Therefore, the cleaning process for PuriCare air purifiers differs slightly from regular air purifiers.
Step 1 - External Cleaning:

Start by cleaning the air intake vents around the air purifier. The covers for the air intake vents can be removed for cleaning with water. When cleaning these details, avoid using hard brushes that may scratch the surface paint.

Another external component that needs cleaning is the air push-out door. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean these parts and then wipe the surface with a soft cloth.
Step 2 - Filter Cleaning:
The dust filter in PureCare machines is an integrated block consisting of the coarse filter, HEPA fine dust filter, and activated carbon filter. Due to the material of the HEPA filter and the activated carbon layer being water-sensitive, you can only clean this part with a vacuum cleaner and a soft brush. The soft brush can clean the dust adhering to the outer coarse filter, while the vacuum cleaner helps clean the dust inside the HEPA filter.

According to LG, the PureCare dust filter needs cleaning 1 to 2 times a month. When connecting the air purifier to the ThinQ app on your phone, the app will notify you of the operating status and the time to replace the filter core for convenient monitoring.
Step 3 - Sensor Cleaning:
The dust and gas sensors of PureCare are located on the body of the machine. To clean this part, first remove the cover and open the sensor compartment. Then, use a damp cotton swab to wipe the sensor and dry it with a dry cotton swab. Note that you should not clean the sensor with any other material as it may damage the sensor and affect the device's operation.

During the PureCare cleaning process, users should avoid cleaning the product with sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, or organic solvents. The body of the air purifier is designed with round openings to draw in air. Therefore, users should avoid covering these holes with labels, affecting the device's air cleaning and odor removal effectiveness.
A crucial note for this product is to prevent water from entering the interior. The Puricare filters have a complex structure and should not come into contact with water.
Conclusion
LG PuriCare is a premium-designed air purifier with a distinctive 2-tier style, providing efficient air filtration for rooms up to 100 square meters in a short time. The machine operates quietly, offers multiple operating modes, and can be conveniently controlled directly on the device, through a remote control, or via a smartphone. Regular filter cleaning is simple and should be done regularly to ensure effective filtration and extend the replacement interval.
