Phu Yen is incredibly welcoming and easy to access.
Surely, anyone who has seen the movie “The Scent of Green Papaya” would want to witness Phu Yen’s picturesque beauty firsthand. Don’t hesitate any longer; gather some useful tips for an amazing 3-day vacation in Phu Yen, especially during this New Year holiday season.
Phu Yen is a coastal province in the South Central region of Vietnam, boasting a mild and pleasant climate year-round. You can visit anytime, but summer is the perfect time to dive into the crystal-clear waters. However, if you've missed the chance, don't worry, you can still embark on your journey now.

The itinerary serves as a suggestive list of destinations. You're free to modify or select points that suit your needs and time.
Day One: Ganh Xep – Ganh Da Dia – Mang Lang Church
A bowl of bun mam or Quang noodles would make an excellent choice for breakfast. After breakfast, the fresh air is perfect for you to wander around and learn about the local life here.
Ganh Xep will be the first stop for travelers. Ganh Xep boasts long stretches of fine sand. There's nothing more delightful than enjoying the feeling of solitude on the beach and admiring the natural wonders. Especially, when you climb to the top of the cliff, you can extend your gaze to the vast, sprawling grass fields.

Ganh Da Dia is about 30 km from Ganh Xep. When you arrive at the resting point on the cliff, you should choose a restaurant to enjoy lunch as this area doesn't have many eateries. The seafood dishes here may not be diverse but they are delicious and affordable, suitable for everyone's budget.
After dining and resting, you'll follow the narrow path with stepped stairs along Ganh Da Dia. With stacked layers of rocks, from a distance, it looks like stacks of plates in a pottery kiln, the terraced steps jutting out into the sea, Ganh Da Dia is dubbed one of the most beautiful and impressive rock formations in the world.
Here, you can stroll along the rocky layers, admire the boats on the sea, and most importantly, feel the salty taste of the ocean, the gentle breeze, and the noisy sensation of the waves crashing against the shore.
Day 2: Tuy Hoa – Vung Ro
On the second day, head south of Tuy Hoa city and visit famous landmarks like Mui Dien lighthouse, Vung Ro... Travelers can park near Mon Beach and climb the stairs leading to the lighthouse.
Mui Dien lighthouse is not only the easternmost point on the mainland of our country, but also a place many people want to set foot on, explore, and conquer. Surely, many have dreamed of welcoming the new day here.
The serene beauty under the morning sunlight of the new day will leave travelers amazed and mesmerized. Especially when reaching the top of the lighthouse, you'll feel like stepping into another world as you gaze at the vast expanse of the sea, the peculiar shapes of the rocky mountains, and listen to the waves lapping to forget the everyday worries.

Vung Ro is a destination you can't miss when traveling to Phu Yen. Vung Ro used to be one of the important ports of our country, surrounded by Ca Pass, Da Bia Mountain, and Hon Ba.
The mesmerizing deep blue sea waters and the smooth white sands stretching across 12 small bays in Vung Ro are the most captivating spots for visitors. When visiting Vung Ro, you can rent a boat to explore the vast ocean, experiencing the life of the fishermen here.
Day Three: Tuy Hoa – Nhan Mountain
On the first day, if you have time, you can combine a visit to Mang Lang Pagoda before returning to the city of Tuy Hoa to watch the sunset over Nhan Tower or admire the Da Rang River. Otherwise, you can save it for the following days. Nhan Mountain is about 60 meters high above sea level, resembling a flying swallow from a distance. On the mountain, there is an ancient tower built in the artistic architecture of the Cham people. From the summit, you can overlook the panoramic view of Tuy Hoa city, admire the beauty of the green patches of sea, trees, and houses.
After some rest, spend time enjoying the sea breeze and wandering around Tuy Hoa city. You can visit the 1/4 square area to sit at cafes, enjoy snacks, and feel the gentle, slow-paced life of the coastal residents here.

Cuisine
Phu Yen specialties offer many enticing dishes such as chicken rice, ocean tuna, oyster porridge, and shrimp noodle soup... You should also try the mai fish salad, squid vermicelli, or various fresh and delicious seafood.
Souvenirs to bring back
When visiting Phu Yen beach town, you'll definitely want to take home some fresh and delicious seafood specialties or dried seafood products from this region to gift to your family and friends.
