God of War has always been a monument on console platforms, and the idea of playing it on mobile seemed far-fetched to many.
In the history of the gaming world, God of War stands tall as one of the greatest monuments. Almost every installment of this game series has been highly acclaimed by gamers. Despite being an exclusive title on Sony platforms, the notion of playing God of War on mobile was unthinkable.
However, that unimaginable feat has now become a reality. Currently, gamers can indulge in God of War on their mobile devices at a smooth 30fps frame rate. Of course, this requires the use of a dedicated emulator for the Android platform. Moreover, the Vita3K platform can even handle games like Shovel Knight at a brisk 60fps, alongside Persona 4, which went from being unplayable to running at 15–20fps.
Vita3K is an open-source PlayStation emulator. Previously, Uncharted also had a version 'ported' to mobile with a 30fps frame rate. This was the release of Uncharted: Golden Abyss in 2011, a spin-off in the Uncharted series. Developed by Bend Studio, the game focuses on Nathan Drake's quest to find the city of Quivira. While not developed by the original creators of Uncharted, this game is still regarded as one of the most immersive experiences on the PSVita.
Previously, Vita3K only functioned on Windows, MacOS, and Linux, but recently the development team has created a version specifically for mobile devices. However, it's worth noting that this version of God of War does not include the two latest installments. Currently, only the first three installments of the God of War series can be ported to mobile, allowing players to engage in the epic battles of Greek mythology on the go.
