Nestled among the beloved islands of Quang Ninh, Quan Lan promises to be the ultimate summer destination for the youth. Dive deeper into Quan Lan through the following article!
Experience the 'Vitamin Sea' in Quan Lan
Quan Lan is a small island in Bai Tu Long Bay, with a narrow area of only 11 square kilometers, yet it boasts a long beach with white sand, golden sunshine, enough to captivate anyone. The journey to the island is almost without waves, the sea is calm, making it very suitable for the elderly and children as it minimizes seasickness.

The best time to visit Quan Lan is similar to Coto, during the summer when there are no storms. Autumn in Quan Lan is also beautiful, but the climate is cool, so warm clothing is necessary. However, regardless of the season, you should always check the weather before your trip to avoid any issues affecting your exploration.

To reach Quan Lan, you need to travel to Quang Ninh and then head to Cai Rong port before taking a boat to the island. On the island, you can rent a motorbike for around 150,000 VND/day or hire a tuk-tuk for about 700,000 VND/day. Electric cars are also available for around 1,200,000 VND/day for larger groups.

The beach in Quan Lan is narrow but remarkably long, featuring white sandy shores and gentle waves. For captivating photos on the secluded beach, take a stroll about 1 km towards Trui Minh Chau port. Here, you'll find a pristine beach with hardly anyone around.

Viet My Beach, near the port bridge, is leased by locals seasonally for business. It's the only place with a seaside barbecue area offering a beautiful view at an affordable price. Some even operate karaoke services.

Son Hao Beach, situated between Quan Lan and Minh Chau beaches, becomes a stunning landscape when the tide rises, making the beach area smaller and more picturesque.
Robinson Beach, nestled between Son Hao and Minh Chau, features a single inn right by the sea, resembling a deserted island where Robinson Crusoe might have lived. The path to the beach is narrow and rugged, lacking signage, yet it exudes a pristine charm with the inn standing amidst a dreamy pine forest.

Apart from the beaches, Quan Lan Island offers other intriguing spots to explore, such as Quan Lan Pagoda, Quan Lan Temple, the memorial shrine for Pham Cong Chinh (a hero in the Van Don battle), Eo Gio, the twin white-sand riverbanks, the European grass field, the main road on the island, and more.

Razor clams, sea urchins, and razorfish – these unique seafood delicacies spark curiosity and delight among many visitors to Quan Lan. Negotiate prices before dining at restaurants or explore the market to buy them fresh and try your hand at cooking.
