1. Expert Tips on Choosing Energy-Efficient Air Coolers for Space Optimization
In today's market, air coolers come in various types, designs, sizes, and capacities. Therefore, depending on your home's room size, selecting an air cooler that suits the space while being energy-efficient is crucial to avoid unnecessary expenses.
Air coolers are essential products during hot summer days. They can reduce the temperature by more than 10 degrees Celsius. Structurally, an air cooler consists of a cooling pad, a pump, and a specially designed large motorized fan system that draws hot air from the outside environment.
The pump's function is to circulate water to wet the cooling pad. As air passes through this wet cooling pad, it absorbs heat, lowering the air temperature. The cooled air is then blown out to cool the surrounding environment. The fan speed of this type of air cooler is set at level 4.
Currently in the market, air coolers are priced between 3.5 million to 12 million dong per unit, depending on the manufacturer and capacity. Therefore, to save energy, consumers should choose a product with the appropriate capacity for their home's size.

According to Mr. Pham Thai Hoa (Tuan Tran electronics center) advice, for small rooms under 20 m2, it is recommended to buy an air cooler with a capacity ranging from 7.5 - 35W. Currently in the market, air coolers with capacities from 7.5 - 35W are priced around 3.5 million - 4 million dong. These are energy-efficient coolers suitable for family bedrooms. However, for the elderly and young children, it is crucial to pay attention to the fan speed when using at night to adjust it appropriately and avoid impacting health.
For larger rooms around 20 - 35m2 such as the living room, kitchen, etc., it is advisable to purchase products with capacities ranging from 36 - 230W. Products with capacities from 36 - 230W usually have prices ranging from 5 million to 8 million dong, depending on the manufacturer and brand.
For spaces in restaurants, hotels, dining establishments with large room sizes or outdoor spaces (balconies, gardens, etc.), users should choose products with power consumption ranging from 140 - 220W. The cost of these products is relatively high, usually over 10 million dong per unit.
