(Homeland) - Some major items facing significant issues have been replaced with new ones in Teamfight Tactics Season 10.
On November 8th, Teamfight Tactics Season 10 officially debuted on the PBE server for early player experience. Alongside a series of new origins - classes, Riot also made noteworthy changes to the items for this season. Notably, the introduction of 2 new items named Red Potion and Mighty Hammer.

With Red Potion, this item is crafted from 2 Bows with an effect that helps champions deal an additional 8% damage. Moreover, the attacks of a champion with this item will cause the target to receive a grievous wound effect and be burned for 5% health. This serves as the replacement item for Infinity Edge in previous seasons.

In terms of effects, Red Potion is beneficial in providing the ability to reduce healing for physical damage-oriented team compositions. Bows are highly valued items and are often contested. Therefore, players rarely combine 2 Bows just to exchange for the counter-effect against enemy champions. It seems that Riot needed to remove Infinity Edge, but using Red Potion with the aforementioned effect as a replacement seems somewhat unreasonable.

Next, Mighty Hammer will have components of Sparring Gloves and Chain Vest. The effect of this item is to reduce incoming damage by 8%, which will increase to 15% if the champion has over 50% health. This means that at the start of the round, champions with Mighty Hammer will have the ability to significantly reduce incoming damage.
This is a relatively strong defensive item as it can reduce all types of damage from physical to magical. Moreover, its maximum effect is activated right from the start of the round, so players can confidently utilize the full power of Mighty Hammer. It serves as a very good replacement for the relatively weak Night Edge item in the previous season.

In summary, with the use of components that are quite difficult to obtain, Red Potion promises to be only a situational item with a low selection rate. Meanwhile, Mighty Hammer proves to be a relatively strong defensive item with a large damage reduction stat. Perhaps Riot still needs some necessary adjustments to help balance these two items before they are officially released on the main server.
