Explore Hoi Khanh Pagoda and Tibet Temple
Located in Thu Dau Mot town, the Tibet Temple is a 25-minute motorcycle ride from Phu An bamboo village. Situated on a hill surrounded by lush trees, the main hall is surrounded by towering trees, featuring a square-shaped structure with a prominent worship tower and tall quadrangles over 15 meters high. Behind the main hall stands a statue of the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, recognized by the Vietnam Record Book as the largest hair-made statue in Vietnam. Crafted in 1982, the statue is nearly 3 meters tall. In addition to the iron frame, the primary material of the statue is made from hair collected from Buddhist followers.
Additionally, visitors can also visit Hoi Khanh Pagoda, about 2 km from the Tibet Temple. This pagoda boasts the longest reclining Buddha statue in Vietnam. Photo: Quynh Tran.
Wind and Water Coffee Shop
Located about a 6-minute drive from the Tibet Temple, this renowned coffee shop in Binh Duong is constructed with 7,000 bamboo trees. The most distinctive feature is the use of wind energy and the cooling properties of water to create a natural air conditioner. In the middle of the space, there is an artificial lake. Despite its deep and mysterious appearance, the lake is only knee-deep, utilizing the dark stone colors beneath to create a profound illusion. Seating lower than the lake level allows patrons to enjoy the cool water breeze. The shop spans 1,403 m2, located in an alley at 6/28T Area 3, Phu Tho Ward, Thu Dau Mot City.
The shop offers a complete range of beverages and dishes with prices ranging from 25,000 VND to 55,000 VND. Photo: S.T
