Discover 6 Alluring Beaches in Nhơn Lý, Quy Nhơn

Located in the northeast of Quy Nhơn City, Nhơn Lý commune is a flat stretch of land and also a peninsula of the Triều Châu mountain range within the Phương Mai peninsula complex.
Many tourists believe that Nhơn Lý has tourism potential because of its abundance of rugged and pristine scenery, clean air, and harmonious mountain-sea-sand environment, creating ideal beaches like Eo Gió, Kỳ Co, Hòn Sẹo, Bãi Rạng lớn...
Recently, images of Nhơn Lý's landscapes have been widely shared by tourists on the media and social networking sites, contributing to local tourism promotion efforts, attracting numerous visitors for sightseeing, beach activities, and entertainment, especially during holidays and weekends.
From our explorations and real-life experiences, we present to you 6 beaches that have been widely acclaimed as attractive destinations for travelers.
1. Ky Co Beach

Known as the 'top paradise' of Nhơn Lý, Ky Co Beach boasts a vast expanse of coastline, spanning over 1km², with shallow, calm waters.
The beach offers a perfect blend of crystal-clear blue sea, majestic rocky cliffs, and pristine golden sands. This summer, it has attracted the highest number of visitors compared to other destinations in Nhơn Lý.

Ky Co is located in Xuong Ly, on the eastern side of the Triều Châu mountain range. With one side bordered by the sea and the other three sides by mountains, there are only two ways to reach here.
From Xương Lý village (or Hưng Lương), taking a boat or canoe takes only about 45-90 minutes, giving you the sensation of floating on the waves. If traveling by road, start from Suối Cả Bridge and follow the slopes of Triều Châu mountain range towards the south.
This is a temporary access road constructed by the tourism project investors to facilitate project construction. It is currently in the final stages of completion, so the road mainly consists of dirt tracks, with some sections having steep slopes, suitable only for experienced drivers who enjoy adventure and exploration.
On beautiful moonlit nights, tourists can set up tents, light campfires, and enjoy outdoor activities without worrying about disturbing anyone.
2. Wind Channel Beach

Wind Channel is one of the promising destinations located in Hung Luong village.
Wind Channel is a crescent-shaped mountain pass, with steep rocky slopes reaching over 70m high, part of the Forbidden Mountain range – a legendary mountain range to the east of the commune, connecting the two villages of Hung Luong and Xuong Ly, running north to south.
The scenic beauty of Wind Channel is known for its pristine and majestic scenery, with crystal-clear sea water, towering rocky slopes with unique shapes...
The beaches primarily consist of rounded cobblestones and are most beautiful in summer and fall. During this time, Eo Gio becomes a sheltered bay, with calm seas, clear water, and cool breezes, perfect for exploring underwater or admiring coral reefs and fishing among the rocky outcrops...

3. Scar Island Beach

Located as a small island southeast of Nhơn Lý commune, Scar Island is about 5km offshore. It takes around 45-60 minutes by boat or canoe.
The beaches here are rounded cobblestone shores (no sandy beaches), formed from eroded cliffs resulting in deep waters, with coral reefs below, ideal for exploring the seabed, catching various shellfish, or fishing.
Scar Island features numerous caves formed by the mountain cliffs, offering stunning scenery. However, anchoring boats here is challenging due to coral reefs and deep waters, and getting from the boat to shore can be quite strenuous.

4. Pineapple Cove Beach

The beach is located in Hung Luong village, northwest of the Forbidden Mountain range, about 1km from the shore. It has a small area and is named Pineapple Cove because of the wild pineapples growing along the mountain slopes and beside the beach. It takes 10-15 minutes by boat or can also be reached by hiking along the mountain ridge from Eo Gió.
The advantage of this beach is its clear water, gentle waves, shallow sandy shores, especially with stunning coral reefs, making it a favorite for swimming and snorkeling among tourists.
On the other hand, being close to the shore, it is suitable for tourists prone to seasickness.

5. Grand Dawn Beach

According to many, this beach is quite beautiful and has great tourism potential, second only to Ky Co beach. It boasts long stretches of white sandy beaches, gentle waves, and unique rocky formations. The alluring rock caves include the 3 Cua Lo Cave, Stone Table Cave, Unicorn Cave...
In the future, when Ky Co beach temporarily 'closes' due to the construction of the Ky Co - Nhon Hoi Material Therapy Tourism Zone project, Grand Dawn Beach will attract many tourists here.
Situated near the shore of Xuong Ly (about 600m), making it convenient for boat trips and less prone to seasickness.
6. Dockyard Pit Beach

Located at the foot of the Gieng Giong stream, this beach is formed by the stream from the mountains and sand hills pouring into the sea, creating a deep pit next to the mountain wall, with a sandy beach on the outside. The beach is located at the head of Ly Hoa village (Xuong Ly), but separated from the residential area.
The special feature here is the white sand mixed with black titanium, sparkling under the sunlight, creating an impressive sight. The best time to visit is from the 5th to the 8th lunar month.
However, due to frequent large waves, very few tourists visit during the winter and rough seas seasons.

Dockyard Pit Beach is considered a 'sacred land' by locals and is where the Xuong Ly Ten Thousand Ponds Festival holds a ritual to welcome the deities during the fishing festival on the 10th day of the first lunar month every year.
