Hidden Gem: Solitary Tree at Suoi Vang Lake
A hidden gem in Dalat that few have discovered is the solitary tree at Suoi Vang Lake. This spot has suddenly become an ideal camping spot for many young travelers exploring Dalat as no one knows when this area sprouted this uniquely solitary tree.


Located at Suoi Vang, within the territory of Lat commune, Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province. From Dalat city, you can rent a motorbike for around 140,000 VND/day and take provincial road 722 to get to Suoi Vang area. From here, it takes about 45 minutes to travel through numerous steep slopes, then hike for about 15 minutes along a trail to reach the 'spotlight'... the solitary tree.


Locals call it the 'solitary tree' because it stands tall and alone in the vast space, with a wide expanse of water in front and a lush green pine forest behind. Here, you can experience immersing yourself in the picturesque and tranquil nature, perfect for a picnic with friends. Let me share with you, the best times to take photos are in the early morning from 4-9 AM, evening from 4-8 PM, and late night because during these times, there is less rain, and the scenery is as beautiful as paradise.
Scenic Wonder: Blue Stone Lake, Vung Tau
Famously known as one of the newest 'love-struck' photo spots in Vung Tau, Blue Stone Lake is located in Tan Thanh district, near the foothills of Dinh mountain. Blue Stone Lake impresses visitors with its incredibly beautiful natural scenery featuring a large, crystal-clear blue lake nestled amidst and surrounded by high mountains. Here, you can freely take photos with the pristine blue lake, pose with the wooden bridge, or the swing...


Alternatively, you can rent a boat to capture photos or paddle around the edge of the lake to experience its beauty. The photography fee at Da Xanh Lake is 20,000 dong per person, while wedding photography is 150,000 dong. If you want to take photos with sheep, it will cost an additional 50,000 dong per person. Note that this area is quite dangerous, so you should not swim here.


The route to Da Xanh Lake is not too difficult. On the way to Vung Tau, look to the left towards Long Huong Church on National Highway 51, Kim Dinh Ward. When you see an alley on the right side of the church, turn into it. Then ask the locals where Da Xanh Lake is, and they will give you directions.
Hon Yen, Phu Yen
Hon Yen is located in An Hoa commune, Tuy An district, 20 km northeast of Tuy Hoa city center. From Nhon Hoi hamlet, you will see two small islands adjacent to each other, about 100m from the shore. The larger island with a giant cone-shaped peak and towering cliffs is called Hon Yen, while the smaller one is Hon Sun.


The most beautiful beaches in Phu Yen are always very pristine and require passing through many fishing villages along the coast, and Hon Yen is no exception. You will venture into a different world with endless stretches of sand, passing through shady casuarina forests, mangroves, and cactus-lined paths.


Especially on the first few days of the month when the tide recedes, a sea path will emerge connecting the shore to Hon Sun, straight to Hon Yen. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the sea, admire the colorful coral system here. To get to Hon Yen from Tuy Hoa city, there are two ways. From National Highway 1A heading north for 15 km, at the Phu Diem intersection, turn right onto the concrete road and ask for directions to Nhon Hoi village. Or you can travel along the coast from Le Duan Street in the city center, passing through An Phu, An Chan, An My communes to reach Yen Market, from here, turn towards Hon Yen via coastal village roads.
Embark on the mesmerizing Tà Năng – Phan Dũng trail, traversing forests across three provinces: Lâm Đồng, Ninh Thuận, and Bình Thuận. Starting from either Tà Năng or Đa Quyn commune in Đức Trọng district (Lâm Đồng), it takes about 3 days and 2 nights to cover nearly 60 km of jungle, mountain passes, stream crossings, descending from 1,100 m to 500 m above sea level. The most striking scenery includes vast grassy hills, dotted with lush pine trees, under the expansive sky, creating a majestic yet serene landscape. The journey concludes at Phan Dũng commune, followed by a motorcycle ride to Liên Hương intersection (Tuy Phong, Bình Thuận) for onward transportation to Ho Chi Minh City or other provinces.
