Upon arriving at the restaurant, everyone is impressed by the extremely cool, fresh, and tranquil garden space, far away from the noisy, bustling, and dusty urban areas outside.
At Tu Tri Restaurant, you'll be surprised from one thing to another. Just passing through a grand gate, the restaurant greets guests with a delicious Goat Counter that everyone must check out. At first, when I heard about the Goat Counter, I imagined it to be a certain breed of goat, however, it's not like that in reality.
Goat Counter means pointing out where. If you like any part of the goat, you can choose with your own eyes, with your own hands. Whether it's goat leg, ribs, loin, or tenderloin,... each part has a clear price, you choose for yourself and then request, the chef will prepare that part immediately.

Looking at the menu, there really are '35 goat dishes'. From goat with plum sauce, goat rib and herb porridge, goat pulling firecrackers, goat stir-fried with bamboo shoots,... The long and winding menu is read without end. Just hearing the names makes every dish so enticing, yet the prices are quite surprising, ranging from only 59 - 119k per dish.

It looks appealing, but how can one possibly try all those types of goat in one meal. That's why I'll just share the dishes that I've tried!

I came here in the evening, under sparkling lights, the restaurant's chefs presented a series of clay pots emitting fragrant smoke that made everyone want to try. These are the 2 newest dishes of the restaurant, sounding unusual - Hoong Lamb and Tagine Lamb.

At first glance, these 2 dishes seem quite similar. But upon tasting, you realize each dish carries the flavor of a different region. Tagine Lamb is styled after the Northwest region, with goat meat cooked with sweet potatoes, yams combined with characteristic seeds such as Hải Dổi, Mắc Mật seeds, Muong Khuong chili paste with a spicy and refreshing taste. These spices make the dish unique. Despite combining many spices, the flavor of the dish is very harmonious, not losing the distinctive taste of goat. This dish, served with bread, is truly marvelous.
In stark contrast to Tagine Lamb, Hoong Lamb offers a rich, slightly sweet flavor from coconut milk – a characteristic of the Southwest region. This dish uses lamb leg or rib meat cooked with sweet potatoes and peanuts. It's very easy to eat, with tender meat and a quite pleasant flavor.

While goat hot pot dishes are quite familiar to many, chilled goat is rather new. This dish is also very famous at the restaurant. The preparation of this dish is quite elaborate. The best meat for this delicious dish must be the pork belly and goat leg, carefully selected, marinated with various spices and ginger, then tightly wrapped inside a crispy skin layer. Then steam until cooked and put in the refrigerator for over 3 hours to firm up the meat, when eating, slice into pieces. The chilled goat is cool, tender inside, crispy outside, dipped in sauce, served with pickled onions, garlic vinegar, and other fragrant herbs, it's satisfying without ever getting tired.

Enticing Chilled Goat Dish
According to the staff's recommendation, many customers also love the sautéed goat heart with turmeric. How could I possibly miss out on that? This dish combines goat heart, liver, kidneys, and stomach, marinated with a little fresh turmeric, sautéed together with lemongrass, and a few bottles of beer, it's truly irresistible.

I thought the price was cheap so the portion would be small. But each plate was filled to the brim, and I was full to bursting after finishing it. The menu is still very enticing, with grilled goat with five spices on a copper grill (said to be the grilling method of the Nguyen dynasty royal court), rolled goat, goat stir-fried with betel leaves, etc.
