- Fuel cost: 250,000 VND.
- Hotel expenses: 250,000 VND/night.
- Food expenses: 330,000 VND/2 persons.
- Entrance fee for Bạc Liêu Wind Power Plant: 60,000 VND/2 persons.

These cost estimates are approximate and can vary depending on your preferences. If you're using a scooter, staying in budget accommodations, and eating cheaply, you could spend even less. However, if you're short on time or unable to handle long drives, you might opt for a bus. In that case, expenses will be slightly higher due to bus tickets, rental fees, and fuel costs.

Where to Stay During Your 2-Day, 1-Night Trip to Bạc Liêu?
In Bạc Liêu, I booked a room at Chí Hiếu Hotel. The price for a single bed room is 250,000 VND, and for a room with two beds, it's 400,000 VND. Additionally, the hotel offers homestay options, although they were fully booked when I visited. The single room I booked was comfortable with a chilly air conditioner, and you can request extra pillows or blankets if needed.
However, there were some aspects of this hotel that I wasn't entirely satisfied with. The bathroom was a bit small, the solar-powered hot water system was inconsistent, and there was no soap, towels, or slippers provided in the bathroom.
Overall, the hotel served its purpose for an overnight stay, but at 250,000 VND per night, the service didn't quite meet my expectations compared to other places I've stayed at before.

Itinerary for Independent Travel in Bạc Liêu: 2 Days and 1 Night
Day 1 of Independent Travel in Bạc Liêu
3:00 - Sunday (Hung Kings' Temple Festival): Depart from Saigon to Bạc Liêu.
You can follow this itinerary if you have two consecutive days off, for example, Saturday and Sunday. On Friday evening, you can depart from Saigon. On Sunday morning or evening, you can return from Bạc Liêu to Saigon, and by Monday morning, you'll be ready to resume work refreshed.
6:00 - After a 3-hour drive, I reached Trà Vinh province.
6:40 - Continuing the journey, I opted for breakfast in Trà Vinh.
7:00 - 7:24 - Moving to Đại Ngãi Ferry Terminal, Cầu Quan district, Tiểu Cần (Trà Vinh), waiting for the ferry to Sóc Trăng.
8:00 - Just finished crossing the ferry, passed by Cù Lao Dung, drove a short distance, then waited again to board another ferry.
8:45 - Arrived at Đại Ngãi ferry terminal in Long Phú commune (Sóc Trăng), continuing the journey towards Bạc Liêu.
10:00 - After a 7-hour journey from Saigon, I finally reached Bạc Liêu. It's my first time here and I'm enjoying the ride on my Honda motorcycle.

10:10 - My first check-in spot is Ghoshitaram Pagoda.
11:15 - After snapping a few photos and enjoying a brief flight with the pigeons, I left Ghoshitaram Pagoda.
11:45 - Back to the city center for lunch and hotel check-in.
12:00 - After lunch, originally planned to check in at the hotel and rest before continuing. However, faced with a minor inconvenience as the hotel I booked was quite far from the city center, making it inconvenient for dining and strolling in the evening, so I canceled and booked another hotel in the city center for easier access.

12:30 - Instead of returning to the hotel for a short rest, I continued the journey to visit Phước Hải Ancient Temple - Xiêm Cán Pagoda - Bạc Liêu Wind Power Plant.
My itinerary is quite packed to cover all the spots in a day, so if you don't intend to visit all the spots like me, I suggest taking a short rest during noon before continuing. Because the noon in Bạc Liêu is quite sunny, continuous walking like that will be exhausting. But I'm used to this high intensity, so it's fine for me.

13:00 - Arrived at Xiêm Cán Pagoda, took some photos below, then flew around to admire the scenery of the pagoda.
13:30 - Left Xiêm Cán Pagoda and headed to Bạc Liêu Wind Power Plant. It's not far from Xiêm Cán Pagoda, just a 5-minute drive. After a sunny and windy noon at the wind power plant area, I returned to the city center to check in at the hotel.

14:45 - On the way back, stopped by Phước Hải Ancient Temple for some casual photos.

15:00 - Checked into Chí Hiếu Hotel. After over 7 hours of driving and a noon of continuous photo shooting, my body felt exhausted, so I took a one-hour nap to recharge for the evening activities.
16:00 - Moved on to Cao Văn Lầu Memorial Area.
16:20 - Arrived at Cao Văn Lầu Memorial Area, quickly snapped a few photos before it was closing time.

16:45 - Left the memorial area and headed to Quan Âm Pagoda.
17:00 - 17:30 - Explored Quan Âm Pagoda. Even though it was already late afternoon, the pilgrims were still abundant, making it difficult to take clear photos, so I managed to take a few check-in shots. After leaving Quan Âm Pagoda, as the evening approached, I turned off my camera, concluding Day 1 in Bạc Liêu.
18:00 - Back to the hotel, freshened up, and looked for a place for dinner.
19:00 - After considering 7749 options, finally decided to have Bun Nuoc Leo Hong Dao at the roundabout behind the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bạc Liêu.
19:30 - After dinner, took a stroll around. The evening atmosphere in Bạc Liêu city is lively, especially at Hùng Vương Square, bustling with activity like Nguyễn Huệ Walking Street.
20:30 - Back to the hotel to rest for the continuation tomorrow.
Day 2 of Independent Travel in Bạc Liêu
6:00 - Heavy rain persisted throughout the night until 8:00 am.
8:00 - Had breakfast at Bun Bo Cay Anh Nguyet.

8:15 - Moved on to visit the House of the Rich Man in Bạc Liêu.

9:00 - Arrived at Cao Văn Lầu Theater, took a few quick shots, then moved on to the square for a few more shots.
9:45 - Planned to visit the Tắc Sậy Church, but the distance was quite far, and I was worried about traffic congestion on the way back to Saigon, so decided to return early and skip the Tắc Sậy Church.
13:45 - Had lunch in Trà Vinh.
18:00 - Back in Saigon, concluding the 2-day-1-night journey from Saigon to Bạc Liêu with 9 check-in spots.
