Bình Dương Ceramic Craft Village – A hub of immense development potential
In recent years, Bình Dương ceramics has not only gained international recognition but has also addressed employment concerns for thousands of local workers. It adds a cultural and traditional beauty to the history of the people of Tân Phước Khánh through the ages.
Most products here are primarily household items such as bowls, plates, vases, and pots. All items are handmade and fired using traditional wood-burning kilns. Achieving high-quality and attractive products for export requires the kiln operators to be highly skilled and have years of experience in the craft.
Typically, each ceramic firing process takes from 3 to 5 days. Only when you visit the traditional Bình Dương pottery craft village will you truly comprehend the hardships of the artisans and appreciate the products they create, meticulously dried and glazed.
Bình Dương ceramics currently exists in two contrasting extremes. On one side, there are hundreds of traditional pottery workshops producing handmade items. On the other side, there is Minh Long ceramics, employing machinery and modern production lines for their products.
Despite facing numerous challenges due to the competition from a variety of modern ceramic products with diverse designs and colors, the local artisans here strive and make efforts to preserve the traditional pottery village for future generations.
To preserve the beauty of the traditional pottery village, the support of the Provincial People's Committee of Binh Duong, as well as other agencies and organizations, is crucial. In recent years, the development of eco-friendly tourism in the handmade pottery village of Binh Duong has been emphasized and enhanced. It has attracted a considerable number of visitors, both domestic and international, who come to explore and admire the exquisite ceramic products in Binh Duong throughout the year.
