With a 2-day, 1-night itinerary, your group can plan an outdoor adventure together on two beautiful islands in Quang Ninh.
Explore Dragon Eye Island and Ngoc Vung with Your Friends
Summer is the season for class reunions when many old groups of friends gather to celebrate graduation. While some groups simply meet for meals after work, many others dream of an outdoor trip to relive school memories.
The selected destination is usually not too far away so that a large group can agree on overlapping vacation schedules. If you're in Hanoi, this summer you have another suggestion alongside familiar tourist spots like Halong, Cat Ba, Co To, Cua Lo, Sam Son... that is Dragon Eye Island (also known as Tung Von) – a destination that has been quite popular recently, combined with Ngoc Vung Island, which is quite familiar in previous summers.
Mr. Ha's grade 3 class (living and working in Hanoi) has planned a 2-day itinerary for their group (about 15 people), visiting the two aforementioned islands in a reasonable and cost-effective manner.
Directions:
– Depart from Hanoi and drive to Cam Pha (Quang Ninh).
– The group can rent a high-speed boat (full package for 2 days costs 5 million VND, the boat can accommodate 30-35 people), moving to Dragon Eye and Ngoc Vung. You can depart from Cam Pha or Van Don pier (further away). The boat journey takes about 25 minutes to Dragon Eye Island and the same amount of time to Ngoc Vung.
Itinerary:
Drive to Cam Pha, visit Dragon Eye Island in the afternoon, play until evening, return to Ngoc Vung for overnight stay (as there are guesthouses here). If you're keen to immerse in nature, your group can rent tents to camp on Dragon Eye Island, enjoying complete privacy on the 'deserted island'.
If staying overnight on Dragon Eye Island, remember to bring enough drinking water as there are no tourist services available here.
Playful Tips:
– Dragon Eye Island remains pristine with unparalleled beauty and is relatively unknown to many tourists. There are no human footprints or cellphone signals here. From the sandy beach where boats dock, walk approximately 100 meters through a forest path to reach the lake. Dragon Eye Lake is circular, with crystal-clear water approximately 250 meters in diameter and without a ripple. This place is a paradise for young people to explore fun activities such as swimming in the dragon's eye, experiencing high jumps into the lake, camping overnight, team building...
– Ngoc Vung Island lies between two small islands: Phoenix Island and Net Island in Van Don district, renowned for its pristine beaches, clean and clear sea water. It boasts a 14-kilometer-long beach, including 3 kilometers of pure white sand. Ngoc Vung Island has all the natural conditions such as rivers, seas, ports, and plains. The population on Ngoc Vung Island is about 1,000 people.
The eastern area of the island features a beautiful long sandy beach, especially from Dragon's Eye peak, where you can overlook the entire Co To Island. The scenery on the island is tranquil.
From the island center, you can visit beautiful attractions on Ngoc Vung Island such as: Uncle Ho Memorial Area, cycling amidst tall trees along the coast and swimming at Truong Chinh beach, Phao Dai Island at the end of the beach. At night, you can have a bonfire, barbecue party on the island, and sing with your friends.
Dining
Dining Note:
Due to the island's rustic nature, dining options on Ngoc Vung Island are limited, resulting in relatively high prices. You can bring your own food from home to cook with locals to save money.
Accommodation
The accommodation system, hotels on Ngoc Vung Island are still scarce. Mr. Ha's group stayed at Sudico Resort, a budget 3-star resort.
You can also rent homestays or beachfront guesthouses for sightseeing and admiring the scenery, such as: Ocean Guesthouse, Hung Hanh Homestay, Song Da Guesthouse, Dong Que Stilt House...
Wearing multi-colored clothes and following a dress code is a new and interesting trend for large groups of friends.
