Currently, the museum preserves and showcases over 450 ceramic and porcelain artifacts dating from the 8th to the 18th centuries. The majority of these artifacts are Mau Dich ceramics originating from the Near East, India, China, Japan, Vietnam, and more.

Notably, visitors also get to discover intriguing facts about the 2,000-year-old history of Vietnamese ceramics and its unique global trade connections since the 14th century.

Formerly a 19th-century ancestral house, Mau Dich Museum is a spacious two-story building with distinct areas such as the front house, back house, and bridge house. This traditional house features a wooden balcony creating an open and cool atmosphere.

In 1994, the house underwent renovations, and by 1995, it was officially repurposed as the Mau Dich Ceramic Museum.

With the charm resembling a traditional Hoi An ancient house, the Mau Dich Pottery Museum captivates visitors with a profound impression from the very first glance.

The Mau Dich Pottery Museum in Hoi An opens its doors from 7 am to 9 pm every day of the week. On the 15th of each month, the museum closes for specialized professional tasks.
