Explore Ninh Thuan: Discover 4 Unique Traditional Craft Villages
1. Bau Truc Pottery Village

Considered the cradle of Cham ethnic hand-woven craft, My Nghiep Village is one of the two most famous traditional villages in the province. Despite centuries of existence, traditional hand weaving is still maintained and developed, becoming a popular destination for Ninh Thuan tourism.

The primary material that makes up the My Nghiep weaving brand is cotton grown locally. After harvesting, the cotton is separated, spun, rolled, soaked, beaten, dyed, washed, combed, polished, and then dried to become the finished product for weaving.

The art of dyeing is considered paramount, requiring high experience and aesthetic sensibility to blend colors in a diverse and harmonious manner. My Nghiep village opts for black as the background color for the fabric. All colors are derived from leaves, tree barks, such as black obtained from the leaves of the 'chum bau' tree soaked in young mud, red from the resin of the 'cang kien' tree, green from the leaves of the 'tram' tree...

Creating vibrant and distinctive batik fabric is a meticulous process carried out by the women of My Nghiep village. Besides raw batik products, the craft village now offers a wide variety of other products, including reed mats, Cham scarves, handbags, wallets, shirts, jackets, dresses, hats, tablecloths, bedspreads...

3. Cà Ná fish sauce craft village
Nature generously bestows upon the coastal region of Ca Na the 'com' fish, with an annual harvest of over 10,000 tons. This serves as the main ingredient for the traditional, richly flavored fish sauce of the local people. After a year of fermenting the fish in salt and undergoing various stages, a premium fish sauce is produced, boasting a fragrant aroma, seductive flavor, and captivating golden hue. Hundreds of thousands of liters of Ca Na 'com' fish sauce are brought to the market each year, appearing in the meals of many Vietnamese families.

4. An Thanh mat-weaving village
An Thanh is a lowland area, making it an ideal location for growing the main material for weaving mats. There are numerous types, sizes, and patterns of mats here, including square cotton mats, white mats, floral mats, spiral shell mats... With intricate patterns and high softness, An Thanh mats have double the lifespan compared to other types of mats, making them favored in the market.

5. Vineyard Villages
In Ninh Thuan tourism, visitors cannot overlook the famous vineyard villages. Grapes have long been a specialty of this sunny and windy central region, so exploring the vineyards to understand the locals' grape-growing profession is an unforgettable experience.

Ninh Thuan is a province with harsh climate, little rain, plenty of sun, and lots of wind, with nearly 2,900 hours of sunshine per year. However, the harshness of this land is actually an advantage for grape cultivation. In addition, catching the tourism trend, grape growing models combined with eco-tourism by Thai An Agricultural Cooperative, Ba Moi grape farm, Hoang Yen grape farm... have attracted a large number of tourists. Not only fresh grapes, but the vineyards also produce grape juice and grape honey for tourists to taste and buy as souvenirs.
