Since there are no guesthouses, travelers are encouraged to bring tents, organize bonfires, and go catch snails for a barbecue feast right by the coast of Hon Nua.

Activities and Sightseeing
The island hosts a lighthouse lookout station and a border guard outpost. Visitors usually return on the same day, although staying on the island doesn't require prior permission.
There's a beautiful beach on the island with crystal clear water, perfect for camping.
Accompanied by the lighthouse guards, visitors are guided to explore Hon Nua Lighthouse and admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the azure sea surrounding the island. The guards are also gracious hosts, as the number of visitors staying on the island is minimal.
The border milestone marking the boundary between Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces is also an interesting spot for people to visit and take photos.
Located on the north side of Hon Nua are towering cliffs rising directly from the sea, forming a majestic sight. The colossal rock faces, with their rugged surfaces, provide a mystical feeling. The higher you climb, the more beautiful sea vistas you'll discover.
On the rocky outcrops in the sea, there are many sea grapes and baby oysters, which you can borrow nets from the border guards to catch. During the day, the oysters are small, while at night, they're larger. You can also arrange with boat owners to catch and pay 25,000 VND per kilogram.
In the evening, gather around a campfire to grill sea grapes and baby oysters. You can catch some crabs to grill as well. Although the meat is scarce and dry, it's incredibly sweet when eaten. Before heading back, you can ask the boat owner to take you on a tour around the island to visit the swallow cave and the standing rock cape.
